Julieanne Leighton : Children’s Centre Teacher

My name is Julieanne. I joined Eastcotts Children’s Centre as its Children’s Centre Teacher in June 2010.

I qualified as a teacher in 2000 and have worked within Early Years Settings ever since with children from 0-5 years old. I think it’s definitely the most exciting time, watching and supporting the youngest children as they grow and develop, gaining independence and confidence in their own skills.

I have my own little boy called Oliver and have certainly learnt a few new things since his arrival! You will find me joining in all groups running in the centre at different times as well as running some groups myself. I am available to talk to about your child’s development, supporting their learning and development at home and any queries or questions you might have regarding moving on to pre-school, nursery or school.
