Nicole Weston: Community Childhood Advisor

I have worked at the centre since August 2005 and enjoy every aspect of my role as Community Childhood Advisor. I love working with the wonderful Families in Eastcotts. I help advise them through one to one home visits on all aspects of their child’s health and support the parents through different stages of their child’s development. As well as home visiting I run a baby club where new mums come to weigh their babies, get advice and receive support, meet other mums and form new friendship groups. I enjoy watching the babies grow and also help run the Two up group where I get to play with the grown up babies. I also co-deliver the Parenting Puzzle, do one to one sessions (on weaning, sleeping, massage etc) and run baby massage groups. Eastcotts Children’s Centre has such a friendly and relaxed environment where children and parents can enjoy so many valuable services and I am so grateful to be part of that.
