What we do

We can support all local children and their families by providing quality, fun group activities for parents to take part in with their children. Groups adhere to the Early Years curricula and aim to help parents feel confident in playing with their child when at home in a way which best supports their development. We can also help with child health queries and support, and can point you towards good local childcare provision.

We run group and individual sessions aimed at helping families with young children get to know each other and learn how to make the most of family life. From casual drop-ins to sign up courses and tailored family support for those who need it, there’s something for all parents. We also help people who would like to return to work or training and from time to time we hold courses where parents can gain recognised qualifications in a range of subjects. We also support childminders and those hoping to work in the child care sector. For details of each activity see the activities section on this site.
